Series Two of Reluctant Persuaders returns to the offices of Hardacre's advertising agency, vanity project of disgraced industry legend Rupert Hardacre – in his own words, "the British David Ogilvy". His entire creative team comprises recent(ish) graduates copywriter Joseph Starling and art director Teddy Beech, neither of whom are quite sure what it is they're supposed to be doing. After a first series that saw account director Amanda Brook join the staff, the second picks up a few months later, with Amanda now an established member of the team, and business beginning to pick up.
